As your beta reader, I will provide feedback on the overall story, plot, characterisation, and other, purely narrative elements from a reader-centric perspective. This service does not include editing of any kind and requires that you provide guidance on what kind of specific feedback you are looking for out of a beta read, e.g. specific questions you want answered upon completion, chapter-by-chapter or full manuscript responses, etc. The $25 listing price will cover up to 25,000 words and a minimum completion time of three weeks. Additional word count will increase the price and require additional time for completion.
proofreading

The proofreading service provides revisions of grammatical and/or typographical errors within your manuscript. This means fixing spelling mistakes, wrong use of tense (past/present/future), run-on sentences, etc. This service does not include beta reading, but can be purchased for an additional $20. The $35 listing price will cover up to 25,000 words and a minimum completion time of four weeks. Additional word count will increase the price and require additional time for completion.
line editing

Line editing involves improving sentence structure and flow, removing redundancies, and eliminating unnecessary words. This service will ensure your manuscript reads smoothly and comprehensively, providing an immersive experience for your reader and a seamless transition between scenes and chapters. This service does not include beta reading or proofreading, but can be purchased all-inclusive for an additional $45, or separately for the original listing prices. The $45 listing price will cover up to 25,000 words and a minimum completion time of five weeks. Additional word count will increase the price and require additional time for completion.
copy editing

Copy editing is a service that improves consistency, accuracy, readability, and clarity through narrative voice, word choice, and syntax. This is the final stage of the editing process to prepare a work for publication (not including print formatting or other costs associated with adapting a work's aesthetics for publication in specific formats). This service does not include beta reading, proofreading, or line editing, but can be purchased all-inclusive for an additional $85, or separately for the original listing prices. The $55 listing price will cover up to 25,000 words and a minimum completion time of six weeks. Additional word count will increase the price and require additional time for completion.
hourly contract
$35/hr
If you'd like to contract my services for an ongoing project or multiple projects, I'm available at an hourly rate of $35 and an overtime rate of $52.50. Once our agreement is locked in, I will start logging time on a Google Sheets time sheet that you will be able to view and see notes left regarding updates on my progress, in addition to update summaries sent to you via email. You'll receive a PayPal invoice for my work once the project is completed, accompanied by a finalized time sheet logging my hours via email. Payment is required in full before I surrender the finished product.

the editing services described here are distinct and not all-inclusive unless you purchase the optional, all-inclusive bundle discount listed with each service. otherwise, services are paid separately at full listing price.the listing prices for each editing service only covers up to 25,000 words and does not reflect the total price of a service performed for manuscripts with additional word count. additional costs for word count will be discussed at time of purchase.you must provide the manuscript which includes the full word count agreed to at time of purchase in the form of a Google doc, PDF, or Microsoft Word-compatible format. no updates to the manuscript may be accepted once received.for purchases which include the beta reading service, you must clearly state the intended target audience and genre prior to my fulfillment of the service.i reserve the right to refuse service for projects that contain certain, sensitive subject matter which includes explicit sexual assault, hateful messages toward marginalised communities, and/or graphic child abuse. if you're unsure if your manuscript contains material that would fall under these topics, please feel free to inquire before purchase.you may ask for clarification on any feedback received for up to one week after service has been fulfilled. once this time frame has elapsed, additional service fees may apply.all communication regarding the project/manuscript provided for the service will be sent through email for record-keeping purposes.you understand that, by purchasing any of my editing services, there is a minimum time frame for completion of at least four to six weeks, depending on the individual service, and that i am a full-time employee outside of my editing services, and therefore hours worked will vary day by day.projects that require a hard deadline will be denied. you may request an estimated time frame for fulfillment of service, but this is only an estimate and not a guaranteed deadline by which service will be fulfilled.if the project is not completed by two months after an estimated time frame requested at time of purchase, you may request a partial refund of up to 50%. however, if no estimated time frame was requested at time of purchase, all rights to a refund are waived and the sale is considered final.full refunds will only be granted if i am unable to complete the service entirely due to my own, personal circumstances.cancellations are accepted, but no refund will be granted if i have begun work on servicing the project.projects which are serviced as part of an hourly contract are not subject to refunds. all hours worked require full payment so long as the portion(s) of the service(s) provided are delivered, regardless of cancellation or my own inability to complete an order.
